Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 2026

The Short Version

Some links on Tressora are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

That commission is part of how this site stays free. It is not a reason to trust our recommendations less, but you are entitled to know it exists, so here it is.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

How Affiliate Links Work

When you buy through an affiliate link, the retailer pays us a referral commission. The price you pay does not change. You are not charged extra, and no part of the commission comes out of your pocket.

If you would rather not use our links, that is entirely fine. Go straight to the retailer. The advice on this site is the same either way.

Where You Will See Disclosures

A policy page on its own is not good enough, and regulators agree. So any article that contains affiliate links carries a clear disclosure near the top of that page, before you reach the links.

If you ever find an affiliate link on Tressora without a disclosure on that page, that is a mistake on our part. Tell us and we will correct it.

What Commission Does and Does Not Change

Being paid a commission does not change our assessment of a product. If a styling tool is overpriced or a treatment is not worth the damage, we will say so, and we will say so even when there is a commission attached to it.

We will also be honest about the limits of that promise. Affiliate programmes only exist for products that are sold somewhere with a programme attached. That inevitably shapes what can be linked, even if it does not shape what we say about it. We would rather tell you that than pretend our incentives are perfectly neutral.

Where the honest answer is “you do not need to buy anything for this,” we will say that too.

What We Might Link To

Products that relate directly to what an article is about:

  • Hair care products
  • Styling tools
  • Hair accessories
  • Products used in specific techniques we describe

We do not link to things simply because they pay well.

Sponsored Content

If a brand pays for content, or gives us a product in exchange for coverage, we label that content clearly as sponsored. You will not have to guess.

Sponsored content follows the same editorial standards as everything else. A brand can pay for placement. It cannot pay for a verdict.

Affiliate Programmes We Use

Tressora participates in affiliate marketing programmes, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

We may join other retailer programmes over time. The disclosure on each article will apply regardless of which programme a link belongs to.
